Welcome to TellHimFred.com. The idea from this site came up while listening to Opie and Anthony on XM Satellite Radio.
As the story goes, an Opie and Anthony fan called in to the Howard Stern show because Howard was whining about being ripped off by other radio shows. The caller said that WOW (Whip ‘em out Wednesday) was an original idea.
Of course, Howard wouldn’t give O&A any credit. Instead, he said that WOW was his idea. He said that back in Detroit, he had his listeners tie bandanas around their cars so that women would get naked. Mmmhmm.
So then Howard said the magic words: I’ve done it all. Tell him Fred.
So now whenever I think something is being ripped off, or someone is saying they’ve been copied, I can’t help myself from saying “Tell him Fred.”

It’s not “Tell Him Fred”, it’s “Tell ‘em Fred” as in “Tell Them Fred” as in “I don’t think anyone out there is believing me since this is so patently absurd, maybe you can spin this Fred.”
Not too embarassing to have registered the wrong domain though I guess.

Nope. Someone already had tellemfred. I know that he said “tell ‘em fred”, I just couldn’t get that domain unfortunately.
