Video Music Awards

I don’t know why I watched this thing. Well, that’s not entirely true.

I watched it because I was waiting for something to happen. Big disappointment.

The only truly memorable thing was watching R. Kelly completely lose his mind for what felt like hours right in front of my eyes. He was doing a “one man show” version of his insane musical opera in which he played Rufus, Chuck, and Karen (I think). These are three people involved in a love triangle in every possible way. I think someone got shot (I honestly couldn’t follow), and then someone decided, at the end, to end his gay and straight love affair to go back to his wife.

Right.

The other big story was Suge Knight getting shot in the leg at a pre-party hosted by Kanye West. And something happened during 50 Cent’s performance….he was swearing at someone….but I don’t know who, and I don’t know what they said.

Oh, wait. It was Fat Joe. Apparently “Terror Squad” has a beef with “G Unit.” When Fat Joe said “I feel safe with all the police protection, courtesy of G-Unit,” 50 cent jumped on stage (off camera). And when 50 Cent performed, he said “Fat Joe’s a p**sy. F**k Joe. F**k Terror Squad,” according to online sources.

Right again.

So the big surprise of the night was MC Hammer performing a 40 second version of “U Can’t Touch This.” Wow, earth shattering.

That’s all I have for now. What a waste.
