Halloween Insanity

October 31st, 2005 · No Comments

How to begin??
Okay. On Saturday night, Chip, Kristina and I were supposed to be going to a Halloween party at McFadden’s downtown. Kristina’s friend Jen knows a bunch of British people who rented out the downstairs room and had an open bar party.
Good so far.
But, we were supposed to be there by 8. We [...]

Dart Loss Again

October 26th, 2005 · 1 Comment

Damn.
Another dart loss. But this one really was a heartbreaker. We played the number one team, and were with them in every game. There were no blowouts….
We won the first game when I accomplished something I’ve never done before: a three-dart out on a game of ‘01. But I lost to a “lights out” player [...]

A Renewed Sense of Blog Motivation

October 24th, 2005 · No Comments

I have been so extremely busy lately that I haven’t had time to keep up this blog like I should. I’ve spent most of my time maintaining my work sites and the LawFirmBlogging site, so this blog kind of took a back seat.
So tonight I realized I need a little push. So I bought [...]

Busy Times

October 21st, 2005 · No Comments

Wow.
It feels like I just got off the helicopter and it’s already Friday. Whoa.
At work, I’m trying to finish the first newsletter for the Boston Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, come up with a new design for the firm site, and weather the Slashdot storm.
For those of you who may not know, [...]

Night at the Elks

October 19th, 2005 · No Comments

Last night I had darts night again, and this time our team played at the Elks lodge in Medford. Let me just say that the Elks lodge is awesome. The place is like my dream basement: darts, pool tables, TVs, and $2 beers.
And man, do those guys know how to treat their visitors.
We arrived about [...]

Helicopter

October 17th, 2005 · 2 Comments

On Sunday morning, Kristina and I drove to Hanscom Air field to go up in a helicopter. Kristina’s boss, a doctor and chairman of his department, also flies helicopters. So he asked Kristina if she’d like to go some time, and of course, we jumped at the opportunity.
Here’s the copter we were in:

And the view [...]

Yesterday, a “conversation with U.S. troops” was exposed to show that questions from the President and the answers were scripted.

Instant Replay for Baseball?

October 13th, 2005 · 1 Comment

The White Sox beat the Angels last night due to a disputed call at home. From Yahoo:
In a sequence as bizarre as any imaginable on a baseball field, A.J. Pierzynski struck out swinging against Angels reliever Kelvim Escobar, appearing to end the bottom of the ninth inning with the score tied at 1.
Escobar’s low pitch [...]
