Wow.

It feels like I just got off the helicopter and it’s already Friday. Whoa.

At work, I’m trying to finish the first newsletter for the Boston Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, come up with a new design for the firm site, and weather the Slashdot storm.

For those of you who may not know, Slashdot is the most popular tech news site on the web. It gets about 3 million visitors a day. And when Slashdot links to your site, in many cases your server will melt. They just send so many visitors to your site that the server can’t handle it.

Well, somehow, we made it through. I had to make some last second changes, but the server stayed up the whole time. Usually it would be out of my control, as most of our sites are on a Web Host’s server. And if that server goes down, it’s the host’s fault, and there would be nothing I could do about it.

But the Consortiuminfo.org site is sitting on a server I built. The FIRST server I built. So needless to say, if the first time we get a plug on a hugely popular site the server dies, well, I wouldn’t look so good.

It’s kind of hard to explain, but lets just say, I could either look like an idiot, or not be noticed at all. So I wasn’t noticed at all. Sometimes that is the best case scenario.

In addition to that, I’m still trying to sell the Buick. I get a trickle of calls, but no one comes to look at it. I really need to get rid of it badly.

So I’m pretty busy lately and there’s no end in sight. So finally I broke down and bought a planner. All through college, I depended on having a planner with me at all times. I’m a list-maker for sure, and when I don’t have things on a list, they simply don’t get done.

I realize I have nothing interesting to say right now, so I’m going to stop writing, and show you a picture of a dog in a car.
