The Last Days of Howard Stern

November 4th, 2005 · 1 Comment

Well, it’s almost here: the day Howard Stern leaves terrestrial radio.

I’ve been listening a little bit more than usual since I won’t be able to very soon. I am an XM radio fan (obviously), but I don’t want to badmouth Howard. He’s been doing his thing for so long, and without him, there would be no Opie and Anthony.

But it’s getting strange on Howard’s show. He splits his time between talking about how great his Sirius show is going to be, and complaining about how Infinity cuts up his show. Another thing that bothers me about Howard’s current show is his jealousy and how paranoid he’s becoming.

For some reason, he finds it necessary to talk about how David Lee Roth’s show is not going to be good. It’s obvious that he’s nervous about what’s going to happen, and that’s unerstandable. But it really is getting to the point where he’s just whining.

But admittedly, he’s the greatest of all time. The time has come for him to step aside. I’m sure that rabid Stern fans are going to love him on his satellite shows. I just won’t be one of them.

Okay, that post was completely worthless. For some reason I can’t find the words to express what I’m trying to say. So rather than trying to say something of value, here’s a picture of a dog dressed up as a lion:
