Roth is still there.

March 31st, 2006 · No Comments

Well, I was wrong.
It’s not the first time and it certainly won’t be the last.
A while back I thought that CBS Radio might have canned David Lee Roth when he went on a vaction. It was just a weird timing issue since it was right around the time that Roth’s dismal ratings came out. [...]

Autistic Man Creates World

March 29th, 2006 · No Comments

I noticed this on digg today: A 28-year old autistic man from France has spent the last 22 years creating an imaginary city called Urville.
Not only has he drawn the entire city, he has created its historical, geographical, cultural and economic description.
The site is very slow right now, but [...]

Don’t Shoot The Puppy

March 28th, 2006 · No Comments

I just played the most infuriating game of all time: “Don’t Shoot The Puppy.”
There are no instructions, you just have to figure out the game as you go along. Go play it. I finished in 10 minutes, 14 seconds.

For No Other Reason

March 27th, 2006 · No Comments

I am posting now for no reason other than I need to. It’s been way too long since I’ve written anything here.
This morning I found a link via BoingBoing: http://blog.outer-court.com/quiz/
It’s a game that quizzes you about Google images. You get a bunch of pictures, and you have to figure out what word yields them [...]

Fun with a Blue Screen

March 20th, 2006 · 2 Comments

I’m incredibly busy right now, so I will add more on this later, with step-by-step instructions on how to build your own blue or green screen backdrop for digital photography.
Inspired by a how-to I read on digg the other day, I decided to build a blue screen backdrop this weekend. With a couple of trips [...]

Birthday Blogging

March 16th, 2006 · 2 Comments

Well, I’m a year older today.
Yesterday Kristina had the day off. When she came to pick me up at Malden Center station, she had the dog with her, and I couldn’t help noticing that he had blue paint on his face, stomach, and butt.
I immediately thought “Oh no. Kristina painted the room blue.”
Then I [...]

Writer’s Block? Take the T

March 9th, 2006 · 1 Comment

I’ve been lazy lately.
Rather than taking the subway every morning, I’ve been driving in to work and paying an ungodly amount of money to park downtown. Today, however, I woke up early enough to park at Wellington station.
When I parked, I noticed an older fellow feeding breadcrumbs to the pigeons and seagulls that circle [...]

I hate news puns

March 7th, 2006 · No Comments

Last night I was watching our local NBC news station, and the reporter brought up the story of a 14 year old student who allegedly tried to poison a substitute teacher. He spiked her water bottle with cleaning solution. The teacher took a sip and spit it out.
And how was the story introduced?
“A 14 [...]

CBS Sues Stern

March 1st, 2006 · No Comments

Now this is ridiculous.
I awoke this morning to news that CBS is suing Howard Stern for $218 million for fraud and breach of contract. CBS contends that Stern improperly used the company’s airwaves to promote his move to Sirius Satellite Radio.
After Stern announced that he’d be leaving to go to Sirius, I often complained [...]
