Well folks, it’s official. Roth is gone, and O&A are coming to CBS.
They will begin broadcasting on CBS and XM simultaneously starting on Wednesday, April 26th.
This morning, I turned on WBCN to see what they were broadcasting. What I heard was something very, very strange: it sounded like a 13-minute intro to the Opie and Anthony show. Though it was not the same intro heard on XM 202, the intro was filled with “clues”, including songs from O&A friends like Stephen Lynch and Richard Cheese.
Finally, after 13 or 14 minutes of this long string of seemingly random music, we heard “This is a WBCN programming note. Please tune in at 9:00 AM for an important programming announcement.”
I switched over to XM to find that O&A were playing “Best of.” I’m guessing they will be having a press conference, which is why they are not broadcasting live. Here are some articles on this announcement:
