Overheard at the Silhouette

July 29th, 2006 by Barry Freed · 2 Comments

Last night, I went out with friends to play pool, and when we were done, I went to the Silhouette with my friends Josh and Lauren. It was past last call, and we were playing darts. A waitress came into the back room to tell everyone to finish their games and to leave. After a short silence, someone loudly exclaimed:

That is “If I had the womb of a baby, I would not feed it potato skins.”

I had to write it down right away so I wouldn’t forget it, so I wrote on the back of a business card.

Now let that statement sink in. The womb of a baby? Eh?

That is brilliant. Insightful, thoughtful and obviously spoken by someone who sincerely cares about the fate of mankind. Just makes me miss living near the Silhouette even more.
