Leaving home this morning, I had to pull over and take a picture. Say what you want about Revere Beach (go ahead, everyone does), but when the sunrise over the ocean is the first thing you see when you leave, it’s hard to start your day with a negative point of view.
On Saturday, I received the following in the mail:
Gina sent this to me from Brazil. If you are not familar with her blog, I urge you to check it out. A little background: I know Gina from school at Northeastern, and she’s a great writer. Right now she is, in her words:
“embarking on a two-year trip to Campinas, Brazil to teach English and Social Studies to 7th graders at Escola Americana de Campinas.
I know nothing about where I’m going.”
Gina is really enjoying blogging from Brazil, and she’s even running a little game (which is how I won what you see in the picture!). Here’s the idea: Gina posts some of the search terms that lead people to her site. If you can find exactly what she wrote in the post that brought up the search term, she’ll send you something from Brazil. For instance, if I were doing the same game for my blog, and I gave the following search term: “to catch a predator drinking game”
To win, you would just send me the text from the post that brought up the search term. She’s still doing the game right now, so if you want to play, get over to Gina’s blog now.

Hey Nate! The pictures look great! I like the contrast between the bright orange and the deep blue. Thanks for posting and promoting! Do you have a place to hang it up in your house yet?

I definitely do. I just painted the walls, so they are completely bare. I’ve just got to figure out which wall would be the best for it.
