It’s no secret that I’m an Obama supporter. He’s got a big lead, and it is mathematically impossible for him to lose were the nomination decided by committed delegates. But now Hillary is trying to “woo” the superdelegates, hoping to get them to ignore the popular vote and go with her instead. In addition, her camp is trying to get the Florida and Michigan delegates re-seated. Basically, despite losing fairly, she’s trying to do anything possible to subvert the will of the voters.
If this happens, I’ll have lost all faith in the system. I honestly don’t believe it will happen, but it makes my ears turn red with rage to contemplate the possibility. Which makes me think……….
What times in life have you completely lost faith in something you truly believed in?
Was it when you were a little kid and learned that professional wrestling was fake?
When you found out that your favorite fictional character (Easter Bunny, Santa, etc) was made up?
Was it this past Superbowl when the Patriots lost?
I’m talking about a time when something that was absolute, concrete, and true was exposed as a fraud. A time when you realized “I’ve been duped.”

The only thing you should lose faith in, if this is to happen and Hillary is able to somehow overtake BO is the Democratic Party. These are all party rules and operations at this point. And it will be the Democratic Party who allows this to happen. But, have no fear the greatest country in the history of the world the United States of America will muster on if the great orator Barack Hussein Obama is denied his so called inclusive party’s nomination.
In the end it won’t matter anyway as John Mac will be elected the next President of these United States, no matter who gets the nomination.

Well hey there JCB! Long time no speak.
Yeah, I guess I should have been a little more explicit on my “losing faith in the system” comment. I don’t mean I’ll lose complete faith in this country, but instead in the electoral process (even if just in the party).
However, I do believe Barack Obama will prevail, and if/when he does, he will definitely beat John Hitler McCain (no one ever refers to his middle name for some reason).
Would you like to make it interesting? I already have a bet twith opposite_prime over the dem nomination (steak dinner, woot), but I’d love to make a little wager with you such that if Obama wins, I’ll take him over “I wasn’t even born in this country” John H. McCain.
Let’s bring this over to the forums, JCB. I’d love to talk about some kind of wager.

Hitler? Ouch. Is that anyway to speak about a true patriot who spent 5.5 years in a POW camp? I think not.
And yes i will make a wager but only if you can name me one tangible accomplishment of Barack Obama. And giving great speeches that someone else writes doesn’t count.
Ready, set, go! lol

Come on, JCB, you know I’m just picking on your trying to make Obama’s middle name actually mean something it does not. I thought it was kinda funny. I’ve been wrong before.
Is he a patriot? Hell yeah he is. Do I want him as president? I do not.
A tangible accomplishment: Well, I think being elected to the Senate is definitely an accomplishment. And tangible. How’s that?
I believe that is, as you asked, one. tangible. accomplishment. That’s all you asked for, and that’s what I just gave you.

Barry, As far as not being born in the country, you are right. But he still more than qualifies as he was born on a United States Navy base. Like him, his father, grandfather and great grandfather who all served our country and all knew what true service to their country was all about. And for the record … It’s John Sidney McCain. His father fought against Hitler. You have more class than that.

Montoya-
I’m JOKING. See, it’s like, I don’t really mean what I said.
I don’t honestly think it’s any kind of big deal that he wasn’t born in the US.
Allow me to explain. See, JCB used the wonderful “Barack Hussein Obama”. Yep, that’s his middle name. And when your people continue to stress that, they’re trying to perpetuate the “he’s a muslim” myth, and the “he’s a terrorist” thing. So, see, what I did is, I made up a fake middle name for McCain. I don’t honestly think that’s his middle name. Get it?
Man, you guys are awfully serious.

And this is yet another reason we don’t talk politics here at THF. I mean, sure, THF is the most important source of serious news reporting EVER, but man, talking about how I don’t like what Hillary is up to has quickly turned into a “Obama is awful, McCain is a true patriot” and “let’s forget that this is just a stupid blog, and let’s be completely serious and lose all sense of humor.”

Thanks to this thread, I just got a phone call from the president of the internet. He said that if I don’t offer a formal apology, he’ll take this site off the internet forever.
Sheesh. Now I have to go get a haircut before I go on FoxNews and NBC Nightly News to beg forgiveness.
