Image via WikipediaOkay, so this might come off as an attack of Artie Lange, the Howard Stern show, etc. But it’s not.
Months ago my friend Doug offered me FREE tickets to go see Artie Lange at a casino show. Seems ol’ Doug had dropped enough cash to get 12 comped tickets to the show. As I used to be a rabid Howard Stern fan, I put my stupid “I love Opie and Anthony and as such, I’m to hate anything related to the Stern show aside” attitude on a shelf and said “Oh hell yeah I’ll go.”
In the interim, another friend asked me to go skydiving, something I’ve always wanted to do. So I forgot about my prior commitment to the Artie show and said I’d go. When I found out both were happening on the same day, I decided I’d have to go to the comedy show.
Weeelp, a couple of days ago I got the news. Artie canceled the show because he’s in rehab. Waaaaaah. Now I can’t go skydiving, and instead am forced to sit my ass in my shitty basement apartment and watch awful TV shows……
except for Hard Knocks. I must admit: HBO is the only network that could ever make me think “Oh, you know, that T.O. fellow isn’t such a bad guy.” I mean, I’ve ALWAYS hated the cowboys, but now, through the power of HBO, I’m unnaturally interested in how they do this year.
So what’s my point?
C’mon. If you’ve ever read this blog, you know there’s no such thing as a post that makes any sense. And with our commitment to post every day this month, any weekend post will be completely worthless. Now that’s something you can count on.
And for you, Magglio and Jericho, proprietors of Apples and Moustaches, I am still curious: where’s that post where you admit that the Lakers were the inferior team. I mean, I don’t see it. I must be missing something.
