Packing…procrastinating…same difference

While my lovely girlfriend slaves away in the next room putting her crap in boxes, I’m sitting here surrounded by toys and distractions, and posting on the blog. I checked idly as I was sorting through a box of old broken zippo lighters and instruction booklets to electronic items I don’t have anymore, to see if maybe Barry, or God forbid, Cutty or Opposite had anything interesting to say recently. But a comment left by Cynical on my “Begging For Change at Intersections” post led me to a pretty cool blog post. I’ll reproduce it here and give Ms. Cynical all due credit for its creation.

I’ve never had black truffle. Goddamn it! I’m printing a copy of this list and bringing it with me to new restaurants to see if I can cross anything off.

1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.

So I guess I’m kinda dumb, because I thought that #46. Fugu (poisonous pufferfish) was made up in a Simpson’s episode. I never realized it was a real fish that could be consumed. Of course I don’t think I would ever order it, for fear that the master Sushi chef would be on break making out with Ms. Krabappel in the parking lot and some apprentice would have to cut it and I’d wind up with 24 hours to live.

That’s really sad that I know the whole plot of that episode. I could go into more details about that episode too. I’m such a dork.

Shite! I forgot to bold bagels and lox. My girlfriend would say “oy vey!”

“I’ve been to Sunday brunch at the S&S Deli…”

That’s a relief! So what’s next, snake or black truffle?

Probably black truffle. I don’t know where in the greater Boston area I would go to get snake.
